Eclipse
Coming Aug 21, 2017
There will be a total solar eclipse come Aug 21, 17. I don't know about you guys but my family is very excited!
What is a solar eclipse? This is when the moon reaches the point directly between the sun and earth causing a shadow on earth. The last total solar eclipse that was seen from the northwestern states of the US was Feb. 26, 1979. The next will not be until October 14, 2023 and will be visible from Texas to Maine.
Don't forget to wear protective glasses!! You can buy these on Amazon or at Walmart. You can also make your own viewer at home. Check your local library as some will be giving these away for free!
