Work at Home Mom

Working at home has become the new thing these days especially for moms. I personally know the struggle of wanting to help financially. Childcare has increased a great deal and under some circumstances it really is cheaper almost to stay at home with your little ones. 

I know I was working 2 part time jobs one on the weekends catering and one during the week at the local store. I was relying on another mother to watch my daughter while I worked during the week. I worked 3 days sometimes more sometimes less. I remember paying her one week and I had $3.00 left. From that day I decided I was going to work from home. I didn't know how but I was going to do it. 

Mothers can do a lot of different things to earn money from home and I'll touch base on a few that I hope will help in your search as I've been here too...

Make Money Apps

These def seem to be the top item for mothers. You have zero investment, no need to leave home, you can run these constantly with wifi without using data, and you can order gift cards from places you actually shop. 

There are pros and cons to make money apps. You can even do referrals for these now to gain money quicker. The downside is some of these like the surveys sites take a LOT of time. You can start a survey and then be denied after spending 10 minutes filling it out.

All in all you have to find the apps that best fit you and what you plan to do with them. 

Baby sitting

I also did this for a while. It is fairly good income and you don't have to leave home. There are also pros and cons to this. I have made good money and met great people. I have also ran into a couple that come payday never showed up and I was out 40+ hours of work! 

Somtimes things like this cannot be avoided its just a risk you take.

Build a small business

This one is huge and totally possible. There are so many options I could not even begin. If you are crafty, handy, an artist, a poet, love antiques, etc etc. You can build a business solely based off of your hobbies!

Some of these include more work and investment but it can be done. If you are starting from scratch with little to no investment you will have to get creative. 

Direct Sales

Direct sales includes everything from Avon to leggings. I find this kind of work more difficult for myself but if you are a people person and you have the money to invest to get started then you could potentially earn a lot of money. 

Be sure to do your research and start with a company that you believe in their products! If you know from day one that their leggings only last a month... You should probably find another company. You will thrive on repeat customers as apposed to angry customers.

Blogging

There are so many ways you can earn money by blogging. You can sell products, refer them to someone elses product, advertise on your page, and review products are just a few.

If you have a special niche that interests you blogging may be for you! 

Affiliate Marketing

There are lots of ways to earn through affiliate marketing. Amazon for example. You advertise a product, someone buys or just buys from their website, you get paid because they clicked your link before the bought an item.

The same goes for referrals. People want you to advertise their business. If someone clicks your link and signs up. Again you get paid.

Selling items on Ebay/Etsy

This is also an option. I personally don't find this very useful but I have nothing to sell. If you have something that you would like to sell but do not want to go as far as building your own business this is the place for you. Even if you do have a small business this is a good way to get the word out and get things sold. I would also suggest Amazon for small businesses.
