Regalo Easy Step Walk Thru Gate
Let me start by saying how much I LOVE this gate! I have a toddler who knows no bounds! The way our family room is set up is a little awkward for a gate. There is a single step going down into our hallway. The only space to put a gate is either on the actual step or the top landing. Neither of which is safe.
We had one that was an Evenflo set up but we had to add a step stool to get our legs over the gate. It was really not convenient to get over especially for our 7 year old.
When I got released from the hospital after surgery I wasn't able to get over the gate and it had to be taken down. It's really a safety issue not being able to keep your child in the 'safe zone'. If your a parent we all know that safe zone is a really important part of every day life.
So just like any other baby proofing parent I had to find an alternative to the gate we had. I searched the internet until I found the Regalo Easy Step Walk Thru Gate. You know how some products always sound really great in theory and then when you get it your a little disappointed by how it actually operates a little differently then it did in your head?
Shockingly I wasn't let down. It was easy to install and it opened and closed easily. My 7 year had no issue learning how to use it which really made my life a lot easier. He sometimes doesn't catch onto that kind of thing very quickly.
There is nothing more important then the safety of your children. I wish I knew this existed when I had my other children. Although we do have another little guy that will benefit from this too. I guess we will give it the test of time and see how well it does with after multiple years of use.
Always be sure to make sure you have a 'safe zone' for your baby. It is so easy to miss things when we baby proof. Keep it safe for baby
by making sure you have everything you need to protect them from common household dangers including coffee table edges, outlets, open cabinets and more.
